Q: Don't they call Colorado the mountain state?

A: They do. C Lazy U is located at about 8,200 feet above sea level. It can take between 24 and 48 hours to get acclimated to this altitude. Check out this site for some useful suggestions on adjusting quickly. At this altitude alcohol will go straight to your head so please be careful when you imbibe. WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT ALTITUDE

Q: Should I worry about allergies?

A: The C Lazy U is a legit ranch which means horses, hay, and wilderness. If that's a problem then we'd recommend talking to your doctor or allergist and see if they have any suggestions to make sure you have a great time.

Q: What should we wear?

A: The whole affair will be semi-formal. The big day is happening on the ranch and the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside. You might want to consider layering up, days are typically in the mid-60s and nights can see a drop into the mid-40s. Also, a note that terrain will be uneven so women may prefer wedges, boots, or flats as opposed to heels.

Q: What about kids?

A: Children are welcome to join us in Colorado -- It's a super fun place! (Or feel free to take this as an opportunity to have a kid free weekend!) Our one request is that children do not attend the ceremony, though they are most welcome at the reception.

You can arrange childcare for part or all of the evening should you want to dance the night away. Childcare info: Dani Deramo (970) 531-3765, her Winter Park Babysitting Team includes elementary & preschool teachers, nannies, nurses and moms.

Q: What is included in the "All Inclusive" C Lazy U ranch?

A: So many things! The C Lazy U is perched on 8,000 acres adjacent to a National Park and the per person per night rate includes three meals a day (and snacks), horseback riding, mountain biking, archery, hiking, tennis, basketball, volleyball, fly fishing, paddle boating, swimming and a hot tub.

Q: What if I don't want to stay on ranch?

A: No problem. Check our location page for numerous lodging options. You can call C Lazy U to inquire about day rates and activities if you're staying off ranch. Please call (970) 887-3344 for details.

Q: Will there be grub?

A: Yes, there will and it will be delicious. We're going to try our best to have something for everyone but if you have a major dietary concern please reach out to either ethanshapanka@gmail.com or rebecca.klasfeld@gmail.com.

Q: Will there be dancing?

A: SOOOOOO MUCH DANCING! Come prepared to shake a tail feather and remember the notes about altitude.

Q: I'm coming up blank at the moment but what if I think of something later?

A: Shoot an email to here either of us and we'll be happy to help. Again, our emails are ethanshapanka@gmail.com and rebecca.klasfeld@gmail.com.
